EXERCISING WITH CANCER
/I know that everyone is looking forward to a hot summer bod for me exercise is one of the ways I stay grounded all year long to be able to present for patients in suffering. I struggle with stress from answering 40 voice mails a day to staying on top of a constantly shifting schedule.
Exercise helps me to manage this stress, keeps me from getting sick, prevents fatigue and makes me feel accomplished. One thing I always tell the docs I work for is to wake up and make the first 30 minutes of life about movement. It doesn’t matter what you do, but I tell them, just move.
A systematic review published in a peer review journal, Breast Cancer, looking THREE HUNDRED and THIRTY SIX studies show that exercise improves fatigue, quality of strength and cardiovascular fitness for breast cancer patients across the board.
One of our docs, Jeffrey Mensah, ND FABNO is an expert in how to tailor an exercise plan to you no matter where you are in your cancer journey. Call me at 248 798 2942. I always have time to talk to you about your care.
